“Il progetto Memorie Manifeste nasce con l’intento di dare voce a tutte le donne che hanno reagito ad una guerra pensata, promossa e agita da uomini, attraverso atti di resistenza armata e disarmata.” con queste parole la curatrice della mostra, Silvia Bellotti, spiega la residenza d’artista che io ed Ex-moveo abbiamo svolto alla Fondazione il Bisonte, stamperia d’arte sita a Firenze. Il nostro lavoro era rappresentare la partigianeria femminile da un punto di vista nuovo. Questo progetto iniziato a novembre 2023 e finito a marzo 2024 è sfociato in una mostra portata in giro per Firenze e con un libro edito Il Bisonte. Per la mia parte di progetto ho avuto il piacere di collaborare con lo scrittore Gianluca Bindi, per strutturare il lavoro in maniera completa.
“Infatti, una volta scelte le partigiane che avrebbero fatto parte della mostra, abbiamo subito cercato di trovare una chiave di lettura che incorniciasse il lavoro, che desse fondamenta omogenee di significato al progetto: e ciò è ricaduto sulla Parola, una per ogni partigiana che non solo riassumesse una vita straordinaria per azioni e ideali ma che creasse anche una sinapsi fra Resistenza e Femminismo. Dopodiché abbiamo ragionato su come far risaltare queste parole in ognuno degli elaborati creati da Luchadora, optando per raffigurare degli oggetti magici che accompagnassero i volti delle partigiane, oggetti che sono stati gli unici ad essere stati colorati” con queste parole Gianluca spiega il nostro lavoro.
“The Memorie Manifeste project was born with the intention of giving voice to all the women who reacted to a war conceived, promoted and waged by men, through acts of armed and unarmed resistance.” with these words the curator of the exhibition, Silvia Bellotti, explains the artist residency that Ex-moveo and I carried out at the Fondazione il Bisonte, an art print shop located in Florence. Our job was to represent female partisanship from a new point of view. This project started in November 2023 and ended in March 2024 and resulted in an exhibition shown around Florence and with a published book Il Bisonte. For my part of the project I had the pleasure of collaborating with the writer Gianluca Bindi, to structure the work completely. “In fact, once we had chosen the partisans who would be part of the exhibition, we immediately tried to find an interpretation that would frame the work, that would give homogeneous foundations of meaning to the project: and this fell on the Word, one for each partisan who not only summarized an extraordinary life for actions and ideals but also created a synapse between Resistance and Feminism. Then we thought about how to make these words stand out in each of the works created by Luchadora, opting to depict magical objects that accompanied the faces of the partisans, objects that were the only ones to have been colored” with these words Gianluca explains our work.
Le stampe d’arte sono state fatte in tre livelli, la serigrafia, una maschera per la parte colorata e i caratteri mobili per la parte scritta. La font usata è Filet e ricorda gli anni 40. La disposizione anche se lineare è dinamica, infatti si va dall’eterno (opere con il color giallo) fino al viola centrale. Ilsignificato delle opere è legato strettamente alla vita delle partigiane raccontate. Walkiria Terradura, Gisella Floreanini, Marisa Ombra, Gabriella degli Esposti e Maria Luigia Guaita, loro sono le nostre cinque partigiane che vogliono mostrarci che c’era un’altra faccia della guerra.
The art prints were made in three levels, silk-screen printing, a mask for the colored part and movable characters for the written part. The font used is Filet and is reminiscent of the 1940s. The layout, although linear, is dynamic, in fact it goes from the eternal (works with the yellow color) to the central purple. The meaning of the works is closely linked to the life of the partisans described. Walkiria Terradura, Gisella Floreanini, Marisa Ombra, Gabriella degli Esposti and Maria Luigia Guaita, they are our five partisans who want to show us that there was another side to the war.
